TRASHedy Performance at the Key Theatre 12/5/2025

On Monday, 80 students from across TDAS enjoyed a morning at the Key Theatre where they took part in workshops and watched TRASHedy, a live performance piece focusing on sustainability.

TRASHedy

Two performers explore the story of our peculiar evolution, and our impact on the planet.  Along the way they keep raising new questions whilst a steadily growing pile of plastic builds up around them.

Using a mix of animated drawings, dance and sound scapes, TRASHedy dives headfirst into the absurdity of our consumer-driven world.  As they dig through the chaos, their questions - and the towering pile of trash—only grows.

Because everything we do has an influence. Somewhere.

The students had an incredible opportunity to discuss the production with the creators and cast after the performance at a Q&A session. Character pillars flowed, curiosity, courtesy and compassion in abundance from all the students who took part.

Huge thanks to Jade Dean, Gemma Wilson, Marie Okoh and Gareth Burley who supported with the trip and Jumped up Theatre, who invited us along.
